If you trade from Dubai or Abu Dhabi, you can register with 75 of the 90 prop firms we track. FundedNext leads our UAE ranking with a score of 4.3/5. A $50K forex evaluation has a median one-off price of $349, roughly 1,282 AED. The5ers and Lucid Trading follow in our ranking, and the rest of this guide is about turning that shortlist into one decision.
Close to home is not the same as open to you
Several prop firms are themselves registered in the UAE, which can create the impression that residents are welcome everywhere. They are not. The country is restricted by 15 of the firms in our data, including FundingPips, My Funded Futures and E8 Markets, so a brand you have seen advertised or discussed may simply not be available to you. Start from the list of accepting firms on this page rather than from a name, and confirm the country field at checkout before you pay.
Among the firms that do accept UAE residents, 44 run forex programs, 27 offer futures and 10 cover crypto. Platform-wise, the most common are MT5 (38 firms), Match Trader (23 firms) and cTrader (22 firms).
Evening is prime time
Gulf Standard Time sits four hours ahead of UTC and does not change for summer. That places the London open at around 11:00 or 12:00 depending on the season in Europe, and the New York stock open at about 17:30 or 18:30. In practice the two sessions that move most major pairs and US indices overlap in the late afternoon and early evening in Dubai, a window that fits around an ordinary office day. The catch is that the liveliest hours also bring the sharpest moves. 67 firms allow trading through news, but a rule that permits it does not protect you from a spike that eats your daily loss limit in one candle. Daily limits reset once a day, and 9% of programs have none at all, so you will almost certainly be working under one.
The dirham arithmetic
Fees are quoted in US dollars and converted at about 3.6725 AED per dollar. By our medians, including pass fees, a $10K challenge costs $99 (around 364 AED), a $50K one costs $349 (1,282 AED) and a $100K one costs $569 (2,091 AED). The floor of the market in our data is FundedHive at $9. Headline prices are misleading on their own; divide by account size and compare what each $10K of buying power costs you. Two extra charges deserve a look. 6% of forex challenges charge for activation once the challenge is passed, and 28% of futures programs bill monthly, so every extra month of a slow evaluation is another charge.
Paying should not be difficult. 71 of the accepting firms will run a card, 62 handle crypto, and 45 handle e-wallets; no firm here takes a method specific to the United Arab Emirates for the fee. Withdrawals go out by crypto at 56 firms, via Rise at 45, and as bank transfers from 38. If cash flow matters, note that 43 firms pay weekly or faster; others make you wait for a longer cycle.
Drawdown, consistency and the fine print
Drawdown is the rule to read first, and its type matters as much as its size. 50 firms set a static drawdown measured from your starting balance, so a good week gives you more breathing room. A trailing version follows each new equity high upward, which means profits you hand back count against you. Check consistency rules as well: some firms limit the share of profit that one trading day may contribute, which penalizes a single outsized win. If you run automated strategies, 52 firms permit expert advisors. And instant funding, which skips the evaluation stage, is available from 51 firms.
A final word on what you are buying: a simulated evaluation. The fee pays for the test, not for a stake in a trading account. How any payout is taxed depends on the rules that apply to you, in the UAE and wherever else you have obligations; that is a question for a qualified adviser, which we are not.
