Across the 995 one-step accounts we list, the median total target is 6% (two-step: 13.5%) and the median max loss 6% (two-step: 10%). Only 33% of them keep a static floor.

Method: Ranked on one-step terms (loss room per point of target, price per $1K of max loss, no daily cap) blended with our score. Each firm appears with its one-step account nearest $100K ($50K on futures). No firm with an open warning makes the picks. We quote official list prices with no promo codes and add any fee you pay after passing.

Choosing a one-step challenge

Start with how the floor behaves. Under a static model your failure line never moves. Under a trailing model it rises behind your balance, sometimes behind open equity, so one reversed winner can finish you. Just 33% of one-step accounts in our data are static.

Find out how the daily cap is measured. One firm counts it from the balance at the start of the day, another from the higher of balance and equity. 28% of one-step accounts have no daily cap at all, so compare the overall limit on those.

Read the funded-stage rules before you buy. Consistency rules, minimum days and fees charged after you pass all change what the account really costs. Each firm's rules page and the tables above list them.

Divide the price by the funding. Tiny accounts often look cheap yet cost the most per $10K of buying power. Pay-after-pass deals also hide most of the fee until you pass.

Which prop firms sell one-step challenges?

Which 1-step prop firm is the cheapest?

At $100K, Leveraged lists the lowest one-step price from a firm without warnings: $188. Per $1K of max loss, one-step accounts cost a median $120, against $79.60 on two-step.

Is one step easier to pass than two?

Not by default. One phase asks a median 6% where two phases ask 13.5% in total, but the one-step loss room is 6% against 10%. You trade fewer phases with less room for error.

Do 1-step accounts pay out less?

The median funded split is 80% on one-step accounts and 80% on two-step ones. The same firm often charges more for its 100K 1-step account than for the 2-step version, as the price table shows.

Which one-step prop firms skip the daily loss limit?

30 firms without warnings sell one-step accounts with no daily cap, among them Traders Launch, The5ers Futures, Atmos Funded and City Traders Imperium. Only the overall limit can end those accounts.

How is a 1-step challenge different from instant funding?

The 1-step route still tests you: no funding until the profit target is met. Instant funding drops the test. Medians in our data, instant against one-step: 5% against 6% max loss, an 80% against 80% split, and $130 against $65.13 per $10K.
